Bocle is a family business founded in 1981 by André Boivin with the help of his father, Maurice. The Boivin family story spans four generations of electricians, passed down from father to son. The journey began with Édouard Boivin, a lineman who participated in the electrification of Quebec on horseback. His son, Maurice, became an electrician after completing his military service at the end of the Second World War. Maurice had nine children, four of whom—Serge, Robert, Daniel, and André—became electricians. The next generation saw a decline in the number of electricians, as only André's son, Simon, chose to continue in the trade.

I am deeply passionate about electrical networks and large-scale projects, so I chose to pursue a career with major electrical contractors instead of working for my father's company. With 18 years of experience in the industry, I have built a robust knowledge base and honed my skills in various specialties, including medium voltage (5 to 65 kV), distribution, preventive and predictive maintenance, fire alarm systems, major outage management, energy efficiency, and project management. Throughout my career, I have successfully led significant projects as a foreman and superintendent in iconic buildings like Place Ville-Marie and the Olympic Stadium, proving my capability to deliver results in high-stakes environments.

For the latter, I held the position of Senior Maintenance Manager for 3 years.
